Red rind before the bean

Cameo-030914_01

This is what I wore last Friday, after successive days of tasting a range of sour to bitter for Yardstick's coffee tasting and home brewing workshops.

As you all know, what is referred to as coffee beans are actually the seeds of the coffee plant's cherry fruit.

There is much color and sweetness left to dry or washed away before we get to the seeds we are more used to roast, grind, and steep.

Haven't you ever wondered how sweet the coffee fruit tastes like?

How red and soft the rind?

I am sure there is always a sweeter side, if not a sweeter past, to people and things.

No matter how bitter or hard the seed.
