Maison Martin Margiela Avant Première varsity bomber jacket

The world is alright again, thanks to Maison Martin Margiela’s Avant Première varsity bomber jacket, which is made of denim and silk.

True to its DNA, the house that Martin built has ripped university jackets apart and interchanged them before sewing them back together.

What else can I say, but that my faith has been restored in the maison. Remember the artisanal jackets made out of leather belts, or that one made out of cummerbunds?

I love how the knitted hem extends at the back, like clipped coat-tails.

Talk about two-faced. Or more accurately, four-faced.

View the jacket here on Maison Martin Margiela’s e-boutique. You're welcome.
