Over the ledge

Through the chaos of my life runs through a placid river of blue. Conversely, the order of events is disrupted by a cacophony of possibility.

Many times when I climb staircases my heels miss the steps. 

What flashes through my mind is a dizzying confluence of consequence. Without being morbid, things I take for granted, for a fraction of a second, suddenly become urgent.
