Taking the backseat

Sorry, I couldn’t wait till find the perfect broodingly black sweater for the concept shoot I’ve had in mind for a long time now, so a simple black tee will have to do. I live in the tropics, after all, and plain Supima tees have been my go-to comfortable and reliable items when I don’t want to be bothered with what I have to wear.

The year is spread out like the items on our apartment table: tidy and plain, but whose meaning requires further introspection. (One must pedal the mind to be rewarded!)

Why black and brooding? To appear serious and important, of course! Don’t remember where I read it, but an article author has pointed out that no existentialist is photographed smiling. A smirk, at most. And mostly, with a an unhealthy cigarette. But this is me. And it is 2016. The only feathers that need ruffling end with a wet ballpoint.
